While it doesn’t doesn’t boast the quantity of other classics like the Dunk Low and Air Force 1, the Nike Cortez is still a cornerstone of the Beaverton brand’s lifestyle catalog. Following an on-trend style inspired by Tiempo soccer cleats, Nike is continuing to explore non-conventional makeups with a denim women’s release.
Medium-wash denim makes up the base layer of the Cortez (Jortez?), inevitably giving way to a compelling distressed look with enough wears. Matching blue suede placements appear on the toe, eyelets, and heel, complemented by “Barely Green” Swoosh logos on both sides. Off-white hits on the lining, tongue, and midsole conclude the rest of the highlights, not to mention metallic silver lace dubraes.
The women’s Nike Cortez “Denim/Barely Green” is expected to land soon via nike.com and retailers, priced at $100. See official images below if these might be worthy of a spot in your summer rotation.
In other Nike news, the Air Max 95 is continuing to surface in fresh colorways.
