Nike GT Future Bred 2025

Most new basketball shoes get unveiled in press releases and/or leaked images from overseas factories – but not the Nike GT Future. The Beaverton brand has been tactically teasing the upcoming hoops shoe through its utmost partners and employees, including sneakerhead legend Wale and now Jordan Brand kingpin Frank Cooke.

Given Cooke’s storied resume with the Jumpman, including working on Travis Scott shoes and the team that brought us Virgil Abloh’s “The Ten,” it’s rather fitting that this “Bred” colorway emerges on his behalf. Revisiting an iconic colorway made famous by MJ himself, the GT Future here comes with a glossy red outer shell. Black hits on the tongue, lining, outsole, and Swoosh logos round out a timeless look.

The GT Future is a modern performance basketball model, but as indicated earlier, Nike’s unveiling strategy implies the brand sees plenty of lifestyle/streetwear potential. Also considering the sneaker’s aesthetic, the Nike Foamposite line has and will continue to be a key reference (although the GT Future doesn’t feature Foamposite material).

The Nike GT Future is slated to debut during the Holiday 2025 season for $190, but no specifics regarding this “Bred” colorway have been floated yet. Stick with us for any and all updates as we approach the model’s highly-anticipated debut.
