A Ma Maniére Air Max 95 FZ8743-201

by thesneakerscroll@gmail.com

Following “Dark Violet Ore/Burgundy Ash” and “Black/Violet Ore” colorways, A Ma Maniére is continuing its run of Nike Air Max 95 collaborations with a “Diffused Taupe/Phantom” pair on June 27th. James Whitner’s imprint just announced the project in full, affording us our first look as well as a breakdown of the storytelling behind the delivery.

Starting with the sneakers, the latest Maniére Air Max 95 features all the same hardware as its two predecessors. Smooth suede sidewalls are visibly stitched together as opposed to laid on top of one another, and A Ma Maniére’s signature monogram is applied to the visible Air unit on the outsole. Notably, while collabs like the Levi’s Air Max 95 and recent Worksout 95s feature big bubble Air units, none of the three Maniére collabs come with that OG-inspired quality.

The “Diffused Taupe/Phantom” 95s are accompanied by the “Triple White” Maniére Air Force 1, taken with a premium leather upper and doubled-down Swoosh logos. AMM’s monogram pattern returns on the lining, complemented by reworked toe box perforations in the shape of the brand’s “A” motif. The Atlanta boutique’s full name appears in place of “AIR” text on the midsole, while an icy gum outsole rounds out the delivery underfoot.

The two sneakers are part of a budding A Ma Maniére x Nike series called Every Summer Tells a Story; a new seasonal campaign rooted in the summer traditions of black culture. That theme is particularly evident on the “Triple White” Air Force 1, included as an ode to streetwear culture and the people that made it legendary.

The latest A Ma Maniére x Nike capsule is scheduled to release June 27th, with 95s clocking in at $200 and AF1s commanding a $150 sticker price. See official images of both sneaker below if you’re considering copping.
