Though now outranked in “newness” by the New Balance 2000 and New Balance 2010, the New Balance 1000 remains in the good graces of the Boston brand, continuing to push the Y2K silhouette in its seasonal calendar and with a few notable upcoming collaborations.
Eschewing the usual one-by-one drip basis, the New Balance 1000 unleashed images of three colorways at all once, united in monochromatic bases and subtle coloring in the margins. A cream, light grey, and dark grey make up this faux-pack, sporting the titular “Diamond,” bright red, and royal blue embroidery around their profiles, respectively. Those pockets of coloring bracket the cut-out stripe in each shoe, as well as a variety of branding notes, helping subtly liven up each shoe while still maintaining the goes-with-everything appeal that all three deliver.
All three of these New Balance 1000 looks are expected sometime in July, checking in for $150 a pop. The darker two pairs are also confirmed to have grade school counterparts coming alongside, retailing at $105.
