The Kobe Protro line has become a bustling category, seemingly expanding its reach with every subsequent drop, from the baseball performance gear that accompanied the Kobe 6 “Dodgers” to the impending slew of Air Force 1 releases that spin off the Mamba’s legacy. In the latest update to the SNKRS app, Nike has unveiled a digital “Kobe Vault,” a testament to the recent product that the brand has let loose.
Nearly all of Bryant’s signatures have their own corner of this virtual installation, inclusive of all the flagship models from 1 to 11. Several of them, Protro or not, only have zoomed-out overviews of the silhouettes themselves rather than diving into specific colorways. However, some of the more popular propositions that continue to line our coverage have already fleshed-out libraries of looks, entirely focused on 2024 and 2025. Clicking into displays for the Kobe 8 includes on-white shots of its “What The,” “Mambacita,” “Court Purple,” “Aqua,” and “Venice Beach” editions, while the Kobe 6 pushes forth its “reverse Grinch,” “Mambacita,” “Italian Camo,” “All-Star 2.0,” and “Dodgers.”
Storytelling is the sole focus of this SNKRS activation as it stands(each includes a closing line about “checking back in” for further updates). Yet it’s obviously not out of the question that the Kobe Vault serves as a launching pad for shock drops or other product releases. Check the SNKRS app now to see what the program currently has in store.
