Invincible is bringing its deconstructed direction to ASICS. Nearly a decade after their GEL-Lyte III project, the Taiwan-based retailer (with locations across Asia) has announced its next project with the Japanese sportswear giant and the GEL-Nimbus 10.1 silhouette.
All that’s revealed about this release is this teaser shot on their Instagram page, but we can build some expectations based on their verbiage. The project is titled “HTTP 404,” which aligns with the blue/silver/white color palette often seen on computer screens when a browsing journey goes awry. Invincible also proclaims “A Deconstructed Evolution of the Iconic Silhouette,” which suggests that the GEL-Nimbus 10.1 will arrive with some key modifications like we saw in their Handball Spezial and 1-of-100 Converse Wave Trainer.
This continues ASICS’ emphasis of the GEL-Nimbus 10.1, a silhouette that is currently dominating the market in both in-line styles and collabs. Recent projects with Kith, VANDYTHEPINK, and Haven have built strong momentum around the silhouette; Invincible’s participation should only add to that energy. Stay tuned for updates.
