We’re not even a week into the retail launch of the New Balance Abzorb 2000, but the brand is ready to deploy its collaborative offense with the one and only Joe Freshgoods.
Once again timing to reveal with Paris Fashion Week, Chicago Joe teases his latest project with the Boston brand, leaning towards a personal favorite pink shade to decorate the retro-future model. All that’s revealed is a shot of the insole, which reads “Everything Comes From Pink”, and a zoomed-out angle of the heel and the rear portion of the full-length Abzorb cushioning unit in multiple tones of pink. The phrasing revealed on the olive-shaded insole alludes to women and femininity, with a more literal meaning possibly pointing to childbirth.
The shoes are placed inside a pink Louis Vuitton bag, a mere prop to connect dots with the city of Paris where the luxury bag-maker resides. It’s likely that Joe Freshgoods and New Balance have something in store during the week-long event, so stay tuned for updates, first looks, and potential early drops of this first New Balance 2000 collab.
