The fortieth model of the Air Jordan performance basketball shoe legacy has been revealed. Set to launch this Fall 2025, the Air Jordan 40 is a mid-cut model with a super-refined design that sees smooth leathers and minimally exposed stitching that reflects the true take on hoops luxury never experienced before.
The new Air Jordan 40 seamlessly blends the timeless prestige of Jordan Brand with advanced performance innovations tailored to meet the rigorous demands of today’s elite athletes. These newly revealed images show off a full-length ZoomX foam midsole cushioning, although there is likely some additional tech embedded into the outsole as its predecessor, the Air Jordan 39, featured a proprietary package of ZoomX and full-length Zoom. A similar set-up could be involved for the new model, although we’ll wait for official specs to be revealed.
Recently, Jordan Brand athlete Trae Young posted some images on his Instagram showing off his off-season workouts. Curiously, he chose to pixelate his feet, shrouding the sneakers in secrecy. Although not confirmed, it is very probable that he was wearing the Jordan 40s.
As of this article, full release details are not yet known. However, Sneaker News can confirm that the MSRP will be $200, and basketball shoe design legend Leo Chang was involved in its creation. More details to come; stay tuned to our Jordan Release Dates page for the latest.
