World-renowned for their hand-woven wool fabrics, Scotland’s Harris Tweed has re-connected with Nike on a partnership that began way back in 2004.
One of the more understated collaborative capsules of the early 2000s, Harris Tweed and Nike delivered a women’s collection of basketball classics including the Air Force 1, Blazer Mid, Vandal High, Terminator High, and Terminator Low upholstered with the signature woven tweeds. Unrelated to the category was the ACG Pocketknife, and later in 2009, the duo reconvened with the expanded hoops heritage catalog, working on projects like the Air Royalty High.
Tweed continued to be a trending topic in sneakers in the mid-2000s, largely through Nike SB’s Dunk High/Low Tweed Pack (not associated with Harris Tweed) and later a GR pair that dropped at mall retailers such as Journey’s.
Now, their signs are set on the ubiquitous Dunk Low; unlike the aforementioned releases, these upcoming designs feature the official Harris Tweed trademark patch on the exterior via the tongue (the earlier drops hid it in the interior).
Three colorways of a Dunk Low are set to launch this Fall 2025 season. Currently, one of the three colorways have surfaced via Nke official images, featuring a classic houndstooth pattern in two ways on the wool upper. We’ll update this article with release details and first looks on the other two editions.
