The legendary Air Jordan 8 “Aqua” is officially set to return on July 19, 2025. First released in 1993, this fan-favorite colorway is back with its original bold style.

Worn by Michael Jordan during the 1993 NBA All-Star Game, the “Aqua” 8s quickly became iconic. Jordan dropped 30 points in the game, and the shoes became an instant classic. This retro marks a major return for one of the most beloved Jordan 8s ever released.

The 2025 version stays faithful to the original. It features premium black nubuck on the upper, accented by bold Aqua and Bright Concord tones on the midsole. A multicolor chenille Jumpman logo stands out on the tongue, offering that retro flavor fans love.

Performance-wise, the sneaker includes a midfoot cross-strap and inner bootie system. These design features provide excellent lockdown and comfort—both on the hardwood and in everyday wear. Tinker Hatfield’s Air Raid influence remains visible and appreciated.

And now, thanks to early leaks, we’ve got a first look at the upcoming retro. Everything from the signature splash of color to the “23” midfoot embroidery and graphic insoles returns in true OG fashion.
