Update: We kicked off the year by discussing a rumored “Team Bank” collection of Nike Kobe 9 EM Protro colorways. Now, the Swoosh has unveiled three of its five looks. Pictured first is the “Black/University Gold” iteration that sees gilded Swooshes combine with a purple Sheath logo at the tongue for a Lakers-themed look. “Relentless” text is visible beneath the tongue, with its “White/Court Purple” counterpart sporting purple accents that include a “Resilience” script. The “Game Royal/White” colorway rounds out the trio with a blue upper accompanied by notes of white throughout. Release is expected to take place this fall via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $190 USD. Enjoy the early look here and stay tuned for updates regarding the “University Red/White” and “Wolf Grey/White” iterations.

Original Story: Nike Basketball has been steadily revisiting the Kobe line’s silhouettes in Protro form, with the Nike Kobe 9 Elite Protro as the most recent addition to its lineup in both its low and high-top forms. The model returned in 2024 with “Halo” colorways of both versions of the shoe and there are many more pairs expected to drop in 2025, including the newly-rumored “Team Bank” collection.

According to a report from SneakerMarketRO, the Kobe 9 Elite Low Protro will be dropping in five “Team Bank” colorways this fall. These looks are said to include “University Red,” “Game Royal,” “Black/University Gold,” “White/Court Purple” and “Wolf Grey.” This lineup comes a year after the Kobe 8 Protro dropped in the same five color arrangements, similar to how the Kobe 8 Protro arrived in a “Halo” look a year before the Kobe 9 Elite Protro did.

At the time of writing, Nike Basketball has not yet confirmed that a “Team Bank” collection of Kobe 9 Elite Low Protro colorways will be arriving this year. Stay tuned for updates, including first looks at all five pairs, as we currently expect it to drop on September 30 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a starting price of $210 USD.
