The Jumpman’s milestone anniversary year has been headlined by a slew of compelling retros, but let’s not forget that this is still a modern hoops shoe brand we’re talking about. Following an official announcement, Jordan Brand invited the press to set eyes on the Air Jordan 40 and three upcoming colorways. This “Dusty Rose” pair is one to look out for come September 2025.
These things are premium in every sense of the word. Patent and tumbled leather appear on the upper, while a double-stuffed Zoom Strobel and ZoomX foam package marks a first for Nike/Jordan sneakers underfoot. In a fitting ode to the models that paved its way, the Air Jordan 40 features a slew of qualities inspired by some of Mike’s best signatures. The heel counter honors the Jordan 3 and Jordan 4 with “Nike Air,” and the tongue takes after that of the Jordan 5.
