Though sneakerhead attention will always gravitate towards the Levi’s and the Travis Scotts, one of the more monumental Nike, Inc. collab announcements in recent memory was the sprawling partnership with LEGO. Presented as a multi-year affair, we’ve already seen plenty of attention-grabbing check marks in the relationship to date, from an assemblable LEGO Nike Dunk High to a full in-person build-out at Fanatics Fest.
Following in the footsteps of that build kit, official images of a wearable LEGO Nike Dunk Low now hit the newswire. Whereas the set pulled the iconic Kentucky from Nike’s archives, the Swoosh’s response takes inspiration from the creative company, leaning into a cel-shaded, DIY black-and-white palette. For those with a keen eye will spot a trademark that’s been a constant through the brands’ endeavors: a mini Brick inset into the Swoosh logo, providing co-branding flair through this design.
Finally, the peripherals of this edition lean into the kids-exclusive air even further, as direct instructions on the inside of the shoe box direct owners on how to retrofit the packaging into LEGO storage. Especially since we’ve kept our finger on the pulse of Beaverton’s other such exclusives, you can draw a direct line from pairs like the diorama Air Force 1 Low to this collab effort.
As mentioned in our title, the LEGO x Nike Dunk Low is due out this September, exclusively in grade school sizing and commanding a $120 retail price. Catch official images below and keep our Sneaker Release Dates page within reach for more updates.
