In creating a middle ground between the GEL-Quantum Kinetic (which goes for $250) and more modestly priced Sportstyle silhouettes like the GEL-1130 and GT-2160, ASICS debuted a new model called the GEL-Kinetic Fluent late last year. If recent developments are any indication, the model looks to be a focal point for the Japanese sneaker brand for the foreseeable future. After checking off its first collab courtesy of Hungarian brand Nanushka a few months back, the GEL-Kinetic Fluent is now making waves at Paris Fashion Week thanks to a project by SHUSHU Tong – arriving Spring/Summer 2026.
Founded by Liushu Lei and Yutong Jiang in 2015, SHUSHU Tong is a Shanghai-based fashion label known for its refined feminine aesthetic, often indulging in ruffles, bows, and floral motifs. They released a handful of ASICS collabs in 2022-23, namely a blue gingham Tarther SC Plus (style code 1203A551-400) that became somewhat of an “it shoe” online. SHUSHU Tong has two GEL-Kinetic Fluent colorways on tap for Spring/Summer 2026, both of which lean on the brand’s tenants with ruffles attached to the tongue and heel. One comes in black and dark blue tones, while the other favors a lighter white, blue, and silver mix.
No firm release date for the SHUSHU Tong ASICS GEL-Kinetic Fluents is available this far out, but we’ll circle back with more info as we creep closer to SS26. For now, enjoy official images of both colorways below.
