Saucony’s partner rolodex expanded with a major name last year, with rapper/fashion designer and Griselda Records founder Westside Gunn confirming upcoming projects with the brand in October. As we patiently wait on the Buffalo-born artists’ debut sneaker release, the Saucony team has provided us with another preview at Paris Fashion Week.
Here we have a Grid Jazz 9 dubbed “Scorpion” in monochrome red, shared by Saucony’s Michael LaPilusa (@goofyfoot). A bevy of textures are utilized, including reptilian leathers on the overlays and collar, quilted fabric on the toe box, and what appears to be faux pony hair around the collar. The real highlight is a scorpion motif in place of the Saucony logos; a common insignia on Griselda Records merch (and also a common stamp on… seized goods).
No release information for Westside Gunn’s Saucony Grid Jazz 9 “Scorpion” has been announced yet, but we’ll go live with an update as soon as that changes. For now, enjoy detailed images below.
