In so many ways, the New Balance 550 is the brand’s equivalent to the Nike Dunk, once at the forefront of sneaker culture and now slipping into a more easily-accessible, easily-worn status within the catalog. In contrast to their Beaverton counterparts, the Boston brand has pulled back the reins on the once-basketball silhouette a bit in recent months, but as summer dawns and low-cut shoes become a necessity, they’re trotting out a three-edition “Gum Pack” for the New Balance 550.
As its (unofficial) title would indicate, the tie that binds between all three of these looks is the use of an earthy gum sole at the edges of each. , but off-white suede treatments in the upper additionally make the trio of a piece with one another. It’s the trim where things get distinct, outlining the panels, N branding at the quarter, collar, and tongue tag with various pastel notes, shifting from “Peach Nectar,” to “Still Water,” to “New Spruce.”
All three of these New Balance 550 “Gum Pack” colorways are available now via the NB site, clocking in at $110 a piece. Check the “Where To Buy” links ahead to grab yours.
