With the discovery of the PUMA LaFrance RNR, PUMA confirmed what we all knew: LaMelo Ball is a genuine franchise within their walls. While that third arm of his venture is set to debut in August, there’s still work to be done on his first lifestyle model. In kind, the PUMA LaFrance proper just dropped off a “3X Black” look, already up on the PUMA site.
At first glance, it’s somewhat of a surprise that it took so long to touch the undefeated “Triple Black” concept, especially given the penchant to trot out monochromatic fare on the silhouette. That thought certainly does hold some merit, but it isn’t the first time the shoe has stepped into this dusky territory, as March’s “Black/Chrome” speaks to. If nothing else, this offers up a true embrace of the motif, fully nocturnal through the traction and laces for a more elegant take on the expressive silhouette.
