While fresh formulations like the New Balance 2000 and 204L are fixing to make lots of noise through Fall 2025-onward, the 1906R is continuing to anchor the Boston brand’s tech runner lineup (at least for now). Metallic looks have been a go-to for the model since its late 2000s debut, and that’s exactly what we see on this upcoming “Black Metallic/Urgent Red/Slate Grey” colorway.
The shoe’s official palette reads “Black Metallic,” but the shade looks more copper-like than anything. The titular hue appears on the base and leather overlays, accompanied by “Slate Grey” on the TPU heel counter. Adding just a dash of color, the “Urgent Red” hue takes stage on the tongue logo, N-lock lettering, and N-ergy midsole accent.
The New Balance 1906R “Black Metallic/Urgent Red/Slate Grey” has already begun hitting EU retailers, meaning a global newbalance.com release should occur shortly. Expect to pay $155 if interested.
