The Jordan Trunner family is set for its second life. An exemplar of the quirky curios that dotted the early 2000s footwear space, rising acceptance of those exact oddities meant that Jordan historians could’ve foreseen the current Trunner moment one way or another, but fresh formulations solidify that the Jumpman has serious intentions for the revitalized category.
The Jordan Trunner O/S is the best example, spinning off of the aesthetics of the LX but embracing a more traditional sneaker shape, more conventional closure system and overall tech runner hardware. The wrap-around TPU cage stands as a centerpiece here embracing jet black hues that dominate the midline of the shoe before hot pink takes over the mesh and a softer counterpart dyes the midsole.
Interestingly enough, first looks at this upcoming colorway come from directly from Vashti Aliyah Usry, Jumpman Women’s Product Line Manager and reportedly a major driver in the Trunner bring-back effort. In her own words, she reports it came on from “thinking about the runner/trainer space that’s going crazy in the footwear scene right now.” The fresh formulation no doubt tackles that same concept, even better set up for success if it continues with sprightly color options like the one at hand.
The Jordan Trunner O/S in pink unquestionably fits that seasonal bill, so we’ll likely see this pair hit shelves in short order. Generally, anticipate a Fall/Winter 2025 debut for the model, likely to command a $115 retail price.
