With the Air Jordan 5 reclaiming its spot on the podium of most popular Jays, expect more of the big-tongued silhouette to appear back in the fold. This includes original and early-era Retro colorways to be thrown back into the mix, such as 2000’s “White/Metallic” in 2026.
Originally dropping in the year 2000, the Air Jordan 5 “White/Metallic” delivered a soothing, refreshed take on the bodacious silhouette. A complete white-washed leather upper was matched with hits of a sharp metallic silver on the sharks tooth detailing on the midsole, matching the oversized reflective surface on the tongue.
As mentioned earlier, the Air Jordan 5 “White Metallic” will be returning in 2026, according to trusted sources @zsneakerheadz and Sneaker Files. However, a few changes will be expected; for one, the “23” numbering on the heel will be more aligned with the original 1990 styling, while Nike Air will be used on the heel (the 2000 and 2015 Retro releases featured a Jumpman logo). Pricing and size run detailing remains a mystery, although full family availability is to be expected.
