That unflinching demand has motivated New Balance to keep the 9060 as a constant face of seasonal catalogs, again delivered with a fresh “Calcium” adornment. In broad strokes, it’s another line drive; combining a slew of shaded greys and creams for the neutral punch that the American giant has always majored in.
Yet look a bit closer and see that there’s more than meets the eye, as the interwoven leather panelling mixes up some novel color-blocking, especially effective with the front/back split that breaks underneath the “N” branding at the quarter. Finishing off with a semi-speckled gum sole, it’s a design that manages to keep things fresh despite well-trod aesthetic territory, perfect if you need an everyday option to toss into your rotation.
