Nike Basketball’s EYBL circuit is known for gifting young athletes the kind of heat that rarely—if ever—sees retail shelves. The latest gem? The Nike KD 18 “Team Durant” PE, a player-exclusive masterpiece made for Kevin Durant’s youth squad in the Elite Youth Basketball League.
The design leans into performance and flash. A deep blue mesh upper replaces the traditional Foamposite build for added breathability. Wrapping the midfoot is a glossy, Humara-inspired cage that gives the shoe its futuristic shape, all anchored by metallic chrome hits on the Swoosh, tongue, and heel branding.
Inside the tongue, “TEAM DURANT” is embroidered as a nod to the squad, while the triple-chevron mark appears on both the insole and tongue plate. Rope laces with reflective white flecks feed through a series of chrome eyelets, offering both utility and edge. Underfoot, an icy translucent outsole rounds out the package with style and grip.
While this PE won’t see a retail release, it stands as a visual companion to the upcoming “International Blue” Nike KD 18 slated for Fall 2025. Both pairs showcase Durant’s continued push for bold design in performance footwear.
