It’s been a stacked weekend for the three-way partnership between Bad Bunny, Mercedes AMG-PETRONAS, and adidas Originals here in the island of Puerto Rico, the hometown of the global music star and the host of perhaps the most important music tour of 2025.
The three global stalwarts have channeled their energy to bring all eyes on Puerto Rico, laying the groundwork for Formula 1 racing to make its historical debut on the island through an incredible public demonstration at the Puente Dos Hermanos. Bad Bunny, who was named as a member of the Mercedes AMG-PETRONAS racing team, called on adidas Originals to cement the three-headed union with a collaborative sneaker release, revealed to be the Adiracer GT.
Making its debut at adidas Originals’ The Archive exhibit at Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico, the Bad Bunny x Mercedes AMG-PETRONAS x adidas Originals Adiracer GT was on full display for the first time. The designe team dreamed up a tech’d out iteration of the early 2000s racing model, adding a an external cage above the racy, aerodynamic shape. The underlay beneath the exoskeleton features a tighter and sleeker suede commonly used in F1 racing shoes. Finally, a stripe of branding specs appears at the toe, revealing the AMG-PETRONAS logo, Bad Bunny’s full name, and the year of his birth (1994).
A full, official announcement by adidas Originals is expected soon. The Adiracer is also poised to be the next silhouette in the Bad Bunny x adidas lineage; the first colorway was already teased by Benito during his visit to the Mercedes hanger earlier last week. In other updates from this weekend, here’s a first look at the upcoming Bad Bunny Stone Slide.
