PUMA LaFrance RNR Green Glare 312274-04

by thesneakerscroll@gmail.com

Discounting retros, when was the last time an active hooper had three signature models going at once, if ever? In that regard, LaMelo Ball’s PUMA deal is unconventional to say the least, with the Charlotte Hornets star owning two lifestyle cuts to go along with his on-court proposition in the MB.04. The Big Cat came out with a model called the LaFrance last year and more recently debuted the LaFrance RNR at the top of August 2025. Two new colorways are now set to release August 15th; an all-white version and this newly-uncovered “Green Glare” look.

It’s often useful to reference well-known silhouettes when describing new models, but LaMelo Ball shoes have proven to be unequivocally unique (save for the original LaFrance, which has justifiably been compared to Lanvin/Osiris cuts). The LaFrance RNR lives up to its name with a sporty, angled shape and mid-top height. TPU material reading “LaFrance” materializes just underneath the eyelets, followed by holed-out leather over mesh across the base. Ultra-thick rope laces rest over a tongue featuring bulbous “LF” lettering, while a hefty sole unit comes with convex and concave circles and more “LF” motifs underfoot. Playing into LaMelo’s energetic personality, this “Green Glare” colorway is every bit as attention-grabbing as the LaFrance RNR itself.

The PUMA LaFrance RNR “Green Glare” is due out August 15th via puma.com and retailers, priced at $125. See official images below if these speak to your taste.
