Nike makes another streetwear-meets-performance fusion with the release of the Martine Rose x Nike Shox MR4. The previously unreleased colorway was recently spotted on pro esports champion SonicFox at the 2025 EVO Championship Series.
Built off the Shox silhouette’s sportstyle platform, the MR4 is a maximalist take on the hyper-fashion-forward streetwear meets performance classic. Released for the first time last year, the footwear attracted attention upon its release for its elevated, high-fashion take on Nike’s heritage Shox cushioning. Now, the silhouette is back in a clean white upper layered with ecru overlays and with accents of varsity red. It’s laced up by a dual-layered yellow and red Swoosh for an aggressive pop, while the heel’s Shox units remain visible in black and red.
SonicFox wore the look courtside with a pair of Martine Rose track pants, resulting in a vivid and maximalist look that cements Nike’s clear intent on capturing the attention of the esports and gaming community with past digital-forward releases like the .SWOOSH-led “Big Head” Air Max 1 and “Rage Quit” Total 90 III.
