Adidas’ SpongeBob collaborations continue with the adidas Superstar “Patrick Star.” Patrick is one of SpongeBob’s best-known characters, a huge pink sea star who loves Krabby Patties. The Superstar’s heritage silhouette remains unchanged, but pops with animated flair.
Soft pink suede across the upper mimics Patrick’s appearance, while off-white rubber caps the toe and midsole. Adidas’ iconic black Three Stripes are present, as is the smiling face of Patrick on the tongue.
Secondary green laces are speckled with purple floral graphics as an ode to Patrick’s swim trunks. A translucent blue outsole accents the flower motif inspired by SpongeBob’s undersea environment.
The toe cap silhouette makes for a solid, everyday option, while small character elements prevent the kicks from feeling cartoonish.
The adidas Superstar “Patrick Star” releases now at select retailers and launches globally at adidas.com soon. Retail will be $130.
