Nike’s classic AF1 build is often a canvas for color and texture changes. Black denim takes the place of leather and suede for a scruffier look. Stitched eyelets and Swoosh details carry over in a tonal finish. Nike Air branding is visible on the backtab and subtly applied. The black midsole and outsole follow suit, with a hint of contrast on metallic lace dubraes
Denim on sneakers isn’t new, from the recent Levi’s x Air Jordan 3 Pack to Nike SB Denim makeups. The worn texture gets better with wear, especially as it compares to white AF1s that require more upkeep.
