New Balance has transformed its 1906R sneaker into a trail-ready style with the 1906R “Orange Crimson”.
Expect the shoe to take on a bit of gorpcore influence, but its construction and no-tie lacing remain true to the 1906R’s utilitarian roots.
The bright “Orange Crimson” overlays and TPU heel cage add an element of playfulness to the shoe. The Creamsicle gradient on the sole also hints at a design evolution.
The Creamsicle fade is probably the smartest part, as it tones down the loud crimson and provides the design with depth. These kinds of small nods are exactly what collectors are after when New Balance twists on their staples.
