The BSTN x adidas München Oktoberfest aims to honor Bavarian tradition with this special festival sneaker.
Oktoberfest has been one of the world’s largest celebrations of beer and Bavarian culture for many years. It’s an event centered around indulging in food and music while donning traditional garb, such as lederhosen and dirndls, to show off local pride. This fresh take on the adidas München from Munich-based retailer BSTN highlights that sense of heritage by updating the classic adidas City Series silhouette from the 1970s. That’s a clever connection between local traditions and the global sneaker community.
BSTN x adidas München Oktoberfest is offered in two colorways: brown and tan. Both colorways sport premium suede uppers accented with cream leather stripes and gum soles, all of which pays homage to the retro terrace-wear aesthetic. Gold “SALUTE” branding adorns the side, which is a nod to the German saying typically offered while toasting at Oktoberfest. Embroidered crests on the tongue and insoles add red and green accents along with chain-stitched details for an elevated finish. The retailer’s signature cursive “B” logo is stitched on the heel as well. Sneakerheads will definitely appreciate that special detail.
As with previous adidas City Series models, the München has long been associated with other adidas legends such as the Gazelle and Handball. This Oktoberfest release forges a strong cultural story that is unique to the celebration, rather than simply relying on color scheme substitutions. In other words, the BSTN x adidas München Oktoberfest is one of the more legit crossovers to hit the streets in a while. It’s certainly a release that sneakerheads and casual consumers can support.
While an official release date is yet to be confirmed, all signs point to a launch date timed around the beginning of Oktoberfest, which this year takes place on September 20, 2025. Look for the BSTN x adidas München Oktoberfest to drop BSTN, adidas, and select retailers.
