A real artist and creative is the one whose work doesn’t die even if they do. And that’s incredibly true when we talk about the late Virgil Abloh! The artist’s legacy goes way beyond his life and lives on through his work across different disciplines. From music to sneakers, fashion, and more, Abloh left a huge mark and a space that nobody else can fill wherever he went. A Virgil Abloh Nike Exhibit Is What the Fans Want!
So, let’s talk about the upcoming Paris exhibit. The Virgil Abloh Archive and Nike recently announced the Virgil Abloh Nike Exhibit. “The Codes” exhibit will take place at the Grand Palais in Paris. It will open its doors on September 30, 2025, which coincides with Abloh’s birthday date. That’s totally poetic and on the nose for an artist like that! Finally, the exhibit will end on October 10, 2025. But what exactly can we expect from this collaboration?
What to Expect
There will be a huge collection of items on display, ranging from apparel to sneakers and artwork. We don’t expect any less than that from a multidisciplinary artist like Virgil. All the pieces on display, which will be around 1,000, are pulled from the archive that holds up to 20,000 objects. But of course, sneakerheads are mostly interested in the sneaker side of things… understandably so!
Now, let’s talk kicks! We can expect to see different versions of the LV x Air Force 1 in several colorways. Moreover, there will be a wide collection of Nike sneakers that went under Virgil’s knife! We can also expect to see never-before-released samples and prototypes. So, we can actually expect some awesome kicks that, unfortunately, none of us will own.
