Hard To Go Wrong: the adidas Samba Takes On “Dark Brown”

by thesneakerscroll@gmail.com

Much the same way as Nike with an Air Force 1 or ASICS with a GEL-Kayano 14, adidas doesn’t necessarily need to pull out all the stops to mint a successful version of the adidas Samba. Simply due to baked-in demand for the enduring “it shoe,” they can functionally sell themselves, but utilizing contemporary shades certainly doesn’t hurt.

Which brings us to the adidas Samba “Dark Brown,” a simple color-up of the indoor icon relying on the everlasting formula that’s brought it decades of success. Yes, the black leather from the “default” Samba may be gone in favor of a cocoa-coated brown, and the black sockliner shifts to complementary cream, but the same elevator pitch for these kicks remain: they’re easy to work into the rotation and carry a timeless air all the same. A classic gum bottom and green patch on the tongue closes things out.

The adidas Samba “Dark Brown” is available now, retailing for $100. Find direct pick-up links included below.
