New Balance 1000 Speed Of Light Pack

The wire between Foot Locker and New Balance has been hot lately, with the Boston sneaker giant continuing to send retailer-exclusive styles to the leading North American sneaker chain. Ensuring shelves stay stocked with at least one pair you can’t find anywhere else, Foot Locker now presents the “Speed of Light” New Balance 1000 pack, releasing September 25th and modeled here by New Balance brand athlete Dejounte Murray.

According to Foot Locker, this latest New Balance 1000 set draws from the silhouette’s evolution from a performance runner to a lifestyle sneaker built for high-impact style. More specifically, the “Speed of Light” theme is inspired by motion itself – particularly the effect of light trails.

The men’s colorway borders on the aesthetic of Joe Freshgoods’ “Black Ice,” the launch point for the model’s modern revival in early 2024. “Monarch Burgundy” leather hits the heel, mudguard, and toe panels, while metallic “Grey Matter” leather energizes the tongue and quarter.

The women’s colorway leans even more directly into the theme, embodying high-energy chrome tones and streaking light effects. Metallic gold leather overlays wrap a white mesh base, contrasted by pink accents on the midsole, upper detailing, and the crystallized border of the “N” logos.

Foot Locker and New Balance previously teamed up on a two-pair 1000 pack in February and more recently linked for an exclusive “Desert Heat” collection that also featured the model.

Both Foot Locker-exclusive New Balance 1000s release September 25th, available in-store and online via footlocker.com. Each pair retails for $150. See official images below if you’re planning to cop.
