Because of its wider accessibility, and, to be blunt, the reduced importance of any individual colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Mid cut, it’s frequently been a shoe where Beaverton designers get weird and wonky with color blocking. That’s the case for the shoe at hand, utilizing that titular freezing shade to coat the midline of the shoe before bracketing that choice with additional support on the branding notes, including a mini Swoosh at the forefoot. It creates a top/bottom split with off-white tones on lace stays and lower overlays, reversing course as you jump to a blackened Wings panel, collar, lace unit, and tongue.
