Let the fourth quarter begin. We’re now three quarters of the way through Jordan Brand’s banner 40th anniversary, and it’s been a strong (and expensive) one to say the least. That momentum continues into the Holiday 2025 shopping season with key drops like the “Black Cat” 4s, Jordan 1 Low OG “Chicago,” and the long-awaited Travis Scott x Fragment Jordan 1 Low. Sneakerheads will be able to feast on those highly anticipated pairs later in the year, but for now, we begin with a full preview of what to expect in October.
Think of the October 2025 Air Jordans slate as the calm before the storm. There are indeed some strong pairs, but no collaborations or single retro that stands head and shoulders above the rest. Perhaps the most notable development is the start of Air Jordan 11 season — a constant end-of-year focus for Jordan Brand that will see a total of nine releases between Holiday 2025 and Spring 2026 to celebrate the model’s 30th anniversary. The Jumpman is also debuting a fresh, outdoor-minded version of the Air Jordan 1 at the top of the month, right on time for the earnest start of autumn.

We begin on October 1st with the Air Jordan 1 Element Low — a total reimagining of the Jordan 1 Low OG featuring GORE-TEX uppers and a rugged sole unit reminiscent of retro Nike ACG footwear. Three colorways are set to release: “Glacier Blue,” “Medium Olive,” and “Black/Iron Grey.”
Air Jordan 11 season begins with an ominous kids’ release called “Inner Beast” on October 4th, complete with glow-in-the-dark outsoles, unique branding, and a dark grey mudguard finished with a distressed exterior. The “Inner Beast” 11s are part of a series called “Sneaker School,” intended to educate the youth on the legacy of Michael Jordan and his historic impact on basketball and sneaker culture.
It might take a while for Jayson Tatum to return to action following his achilles injury last year, but his latest Jordan sneaker is pressing on like it’s business as usual. The Jordan Tatum 4 era begins with a pink colorway inspired by Tatum’s hometown of St. Louis on October 10th.
The 35th anniversary of the Air Jordan 5 has ruled our coverage all year long, so it’s only fitting that Jordan Brand is releasing a pair specifically to commemorate that milestone. MJ’s fifth signature sneaker sports a crisp white leather upper featuring a 3M finish, paying tribute to the model’s status as the first basketball sneaker to ever feature 3M material. Pink accents appear on the midsole, lining, Nike Air branding, and stitched “23” numbering on the lateral side, all while maintaining OG-inspired design hallmarks.
The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG steps into autumn with a “Pro Green” high-top for women on October 19th. The titular hue pairs with “Sail” across the upper and sole, while metallic gold Wings logos add a premium edge.
Following Jordan 1, Jordan 3, and Jordan 4 releases, the Jumpman’s “Rare Air” lineup for 2025 ends with an AJ11 on October 20th. Text reading “Jordan” spans the lace loops, complemented by a blue patent leather mudguard and red hits on the Jumpman logos.
Picking up an aesthetic comparable to Travis Scott shoes, the Air Jordan 3 “Family Affair” is perfectly suited for fall fashion with an earthy “Medium Olive” upper. As its name suggests, full family sizing will be available on October 25th.
The Air Jordan 40 is the line’s most premium model to date, and that’s especially evident on this classy “Bordeaux” edition dropping in October. No firm date has been announced yet, but our Where To Buy widget below will update as soon as that changes.
It’s been reported that the OG Chase B x Jordan Jumpman Jack will release in October (specifically October 8th), but no official announcement has been made as of this writing. Again, our coverage will update to reflect all the latest real-time information as it comes in.
