The adidas Samba “Laces and Pearls” adds a feminine flair to the terrace staple, while still maintaining its football heritage. The black tumbled leather uppers with gum soles stay true to the Samba legacy, while also bringing something new to the table.
Representing the ballerina theme, the Three Stripes and heel tab feature a coating of soft pink lace fabric. Soft satin ribbon laces replace the traditional system, and feature reinforced TPU eyelets for longevity. The jewellery-inspired touches are the luxurious details, with a pearl cluster, a gold Trefoil dubrae and a heart-shaped pearl charm dangling off of the laces.
Balancing feminine and streetwear style is never an easy feat, but sneakerheads are quick to appreciate. It’s a bold take, but one that is surprisingly wearable, and those jewellery-like accents definitely set it apart from previous Sambas.
