Was there any world in which atmos wouldn’t get in on the Air Max 95 celebration? The Japanese brand is genuinely an integral part of the product line’s history and a past participant in multiple Air Max Day activations. Thus, attention-grabbing as it may have been, it was no total shock when the atmos x Nike Air Max 95 “Harajuku” came to light.

Revealed with a heavy emphasis on its Japanese geographical inspiration, atmos principals followed with a detailed breakdown of this shoe, including an HJRK stamp on the interior. Overall, it’s a flip of the iconic “Neon,” shifting to blacked-out real estate in the spaces between, including 3M side panels that add another hi-vis layer under light. Crucially, Nike’s official images make it hard to judge whether that detail is intact in this presumed general release pair.

All things considered, even the shoe’s collaborative status is a bit in doubt. Internal Nike documents point to a release in Europe and North America — a break from atmos’ typical Tokyo-exclusive cadence. The store also has a history of “SMU” (special make-up) drops that aren’t co-designed but instead simply exclusive to specific retailers. All of that information leaves this shoe’s true design origins somewhat in conflict, but its attention-grabbing profile is beyond debate.

The atmos (?) Nike Air Max 95 “Harajuku” is expected to release sometime in the Holiday 2025 window, retailing for $190. Catch official images below.
