A massive project months in the making is ready to reach an impactful climax in November with the debut release of Bad Bunny’s collaboration with adidas Originals and Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1.
Earlier this summer, Bad Bunny and Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 broke major ground by bringing F1 to the island of Puerto Rico for the first time in the racing circuit’s history. Over 12,000 natives convened at the iconic bridge that connects Condado to Old San Juan to witness a breathtaking demo by Mercedes-AMG and driver Esteban Gutiérrez. This history-making event coincided with Benito being named an honorary member of the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 team amidst his successful No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí residency on his home island.
Further celebrating the monumental moment was an incredible archive arranged by adidas Originals at the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico; it was there that the sportswear brand officially unveiled the Adiracer GT and select pieces of apparel from this three-way partnership of cultural giants. A first teaser at the adidas Badbo was also teased.
Today, adidas Originals officially unveils the upcoming collection through a sharp lookbook displaying a variety of 2000’s era racing-inspired apparel pieces. “94” is a recurring theme, nodding to his race number and birth year. The Adiracer features heavy racing heritage detailing with bold typography and decals typically found on these mega-powerful vehicles.
adidas confirms that the collection will launch this November; see the official lookbook ahead and stay tuned for updates.
