Nike athletes are back on the Air Force 1 in a major way. On top of the portrait-painted Kobe Air Force 1 “Linen” and the beginning of the Ja Morant Air Force 1 journey, the spotlight on LeBron James amid the LeBron 23 rollout is bridging to Bruce Kilgore’s design as well. First revealed only days before this juncture, the King’s edition creeps closer to release with its official images surfacing.
The key design choices remain intact from when we last spotted this shoe, replete with black patent leather uppers, a crown-shaped midsole, and a semi-translucent platform overall. However, these new shots illuminate a New York City theme coursing through this pair, curiously departing from his hometown of Akron and current home of Los Angeles. While, crucially, the aforementioned Morant has looked to the Big Apple before, that’s been centered around tournament play in the NY vs. NY series. It may be a nod to the King’s affinity for playing at Madison Square Garden, but the overall narrative is a bit opaque for the moment.
The finer details really come into view with these studio shots overall — most notably by replacing the “Air” text in the midsole with a goat emblem, not-so-subtly nodding to where LeBron places himself in the pantheon. Quilted liners, Nike/LeBron branding on the heel, “Air Chosen 1” text on the tongue, leather laces, and crown-laden insoles with drop-in functionality round out the special touches in this jam-packed edition.
The LeBron James x Nike Air Force 1 Low “Chosen” remains on track for a Holiday 2025 release, expected to clock in at $200. Check out the full official image suite included below, and watch our Sneaker Release Dates page to be the first to know when these details crystallize.
