Ronnie Fieg hooked Matthew J. Welty up with something special for Complex’s Sneaker of the Year panel last weekend. Before taking the stage, the Complex Sneakers Podcast co-host shared images of the Kith x New Balance 993 “Knicks Home” — one of two New York Knicks–inspired styles expected to release in the near future.
A fixture at Madison Square Garden, Ronnie Fieg was appointed the first-ever creative director of the New York Knicks in November 2022, overseeing Kith x Knicks collections and designing the team’s City Edition uniforms ever since. Fieg and company have also hosted “Kith Night” at MSG for the past three seasons, traditionally held in early November. If you’re familiar with Kith’s teaser-to-release cadence, it’s very possible the New Balance 993 duo will release Kith Night 2025 on November 5th.
The collection first started making the rounds when Fieg shared a blue “Knicks Away” New Balance 993 during the NBA Playoffs last season. It’s been radio silence since then — that is, until Matthew J. Welty broke out the “Knicks Home” colorway at ComplexCon. Kith has dropped several New Balance 993 collaborations in the past, but never as part of its ongoing Knicks partnership. With the 993 being one of New Balance’s most coveted Made in USA models, this release has plenty of New Yorkers waiting anxiously.
No concrete release info for the Kith x New Balance 993 “Knicks” set has been announced just yet, but a Kith Night 2025 launch (November 5th) remains the leading theory. Expect pairs to be available via Kith shops, the Kith app, and kith.com whenever that day comes.
