The toe and eyestays use black leather with natural grain. It looks worn in, not polished. Suede wraps the sides and heel, changing how light hits the shoe. That alone separates this pair from past AF1s.
The Fossil suede Swoosh blends into the upper. You notice it later. Inside, lighter lining softens the darkness. Heel branding stays pressed, not printed. A black midsole meets a translucent outsole underneath.
