LaMelo Ball’s PUMA MB.05 “Hive” lands with a split personality that immediately sets it apart from the rest of his line. That mismatched layout has defined his signature sneakers since the MB.01, and it still feels purposeful here.
Texturing does most of the storytelling. Scaled patterns wrap the collar and heel, while rippling mesh flows forward across the upper. Together, they give the shoe a layered look that feels more sculpted than printed. The winged strap, finished with Melo’s angel logo, adds both structure and identity.
Branding details stay subtle but effective. “Not From Here” and “One of One” appear along the upper, reinforcing LaMelo’s outsider theme. The sculpted midsole and aggressive outsole pattern complete the performance-focused build.
