Comme des Garçons caught the sneaker world by surprise by debuting the first Air Jordan 11 collaboration ever at Paris Fashion Week, unveiling simple all-black and all-white colorways and once again igniting discourse around how the Japanese label’s design language translates in the sneaker collaboration space.
CDG collaborations have historically leaned monochrome, but not without exception. One such moment came in 2018 with a trio of black, pink, and white Air Max 180s that still ranks among the brand’s stronger footwear efforts to date. Now, CDG is reviving that palette on a different silhouette, this time applying it to the waffle-soled Nike LD-1000 from the late ’70s. Official images reveal a black mesh base, Spirit Pink leather Swooshes, and white accents on the lining, tongue, and laces. Retro-inspired Nike branding appears on the tongue tag, while a CDG BLACK stamp lands on the insoles. CDG sneakers often come with material upgrades and elevated price points, but this pair appears fairly standard and is projected to retail for around $100–$110 per internal Nike info.
The Comme des Garçons BLACK x Nike LD-1000 doesn’t have a concrete release date yet, but the arrival of official images suggests a potential Spring/Summer 2026 drop. See official images below and keep our Sneaker Release Dates page handy for future updates.
