Rain beads along the cobblestones outside Slam Jam’s Milan doors, the kind of weather that quietly tests every piece of gear inside. That setting feels right for a project built around restraint rather than flash, where function carries more weight than loud design.
A lighter mesh upper first tells you the improved breathability. A redesigned heel pull tab and slightly repositioned eyelets speak to subtle tweaks made throughout. The Slam Jam x Salomon XA PRO 3D is predominantly black on black, but there are silver underlays below the panels creating a toned down contrast and branding only appears on the tongue, spine and insole.
Of course GORE-TEX makes it weatherproof, OrthoLite provides cushioning and the contaGRIP outsole keeps the silhouette true to its all-terrain reputation. It feels like a slight shift towards increased breathability while maintaining the tough demeanor of the silhouette.
