It’s been some time since we last saw the adidas Climacool trot out in a new style, likely because adidas realizes the 3D-printed silhouette isn’t really suited for winter given its emphasis on 360-degree airflow. The spring months ahead should see adidas return to its plans with more styles, starting here with a new grey option pegged for early March.
If you’re in need of a refresher, the Climacool is created using a process called Digital Light Synthesis, which forms a one-piece lattice structure designed for airflow, comfort, and flexibility. After the initial 3D-printing, the shoe goes through a literal baking stage that expands its proportions based on the size being made. The laceless version of the model made its earnest debut last summer, followed by the alternate Climacool Laced iteration in the months after.
This new Climacool Laced is fairly similar to last year’s “Glory Grey,” albeit with a slightly darker grey shade and white stripes for contrast. Most Climacool releases have featured simple grey and/or off-white colorways thus far, so we’re curious to see where adidas might take things with a splash of color in 2026.
The adidas Climacool Laced “Grey” is due out March 3rd via adidas, priced at $150 USD. See official images below if you plan on trying out a pair.
