We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: the Air Jordan 5 isn’t letting up on the gas any time soon. Mike’s fifth signature shoe is following up its jam-packed 2025 with an arguably even bigger 2026 run, bolstered by multiple banger 2000s/2010s retros and a number of new styles with the potential to be hits as well.
We’re now learning that Jordan Brand and Miami boutique SoleFly are set to reprise their partnership with an Air Jordan 5 this October (per Sneaker Files), marking SoleFly’s first-ever collaboration on the silhouette. The sneaker will reportedly feature a palette of “Black/Aurora Green-Anthracite-Muslin,” likely iterating on SoleFly’s long-used Miami Hurricanes colorway playbook (as seen on the brand’s recent Air Jordan 3). The mockup below shows an idea of what to expect, although the exact color blocking is subject to change and the materials are unknown at this stage.
We’ll draw your attention to the lateral heel, which shows stitched “SF” lettering in place of the model’s often-used “23.” Jordan Brand is historically hesitant to allow drastic branding changes, reportedly requiring direct sign-offs from MJ himself. However, this is a lane we’ve seen the Jumpman go down recently with the Nigel 4s and Awake NY 5s. Given SoleFly’s solid connection with Jordan, founded by MJ’s brother-in-law, it makes sense that they’d be able to make this sort of alteration.
Sneaker Files reports two release dates for the SoleFly 5s: October 1st, 2026 via SoleFly and October 8th via NBHD retailers. The retail price is TBD as of this writing.
