While basketball remains central to his creative identity, the latest collaboration shifts focus to lifestyle silhouettes, including the Air Force 1 Low, Foamposite One, and Air Max 90.
The standout from the pack is the Victor Solomon x Nike Air Max 90 “Downtown Diamond District,” a pair rooted in the designer’s early days working in Los Angeles’ famed jewelry hub. The concept blends luxury detailing with everyday wearability, translating Solomon’s background in crafting championship-level hardware into something built for the streets.
On this Air Max 90, cream tumbled leather forms the base, giving the shoe a refined yet versatile foundation. The highlight arrives through an embroidered Swoosh designed to mirror the sparkle and structure of real diamonds. Black suede at the heel adds contrast, stamped with Solomon’s signature for a personal touch. Subtle basketball lace locks and chain-inspired laces tie back to both his roots in hoops culture and his evolution into high-end design.
The Victor Solomon x Nike Air Max 90 “Downtown Diamond District” will release on February 13th at Shoe Palace, located at 7725 Melrose Ave in Los Angeles. The launch is scheduled for 3 PM local time and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Retail price is set at $250.
