Jordan Brand is setting up a strong year for the Air Jordan 13 lineup in 2026, led by the return of two original colorways. While the fan-favorite “Flint” pair is expected later in April, the momentum begins earlier with the comeback of the Air Jordan 13 “Chicago”, also known as “True Red.” This marks its first release since 2017, bringing one of the model’s core colorways back into rotation.
The design stays true to its roots. A clean white leather upper is paired with bold True Red suede wrapping the heel and lower panels. Meanwhile, the midsole combines red and black tones for contrast. Notably, the red hue appears slightly brighter compared to past versions, offering a subtle update for longtime collectors. Since its original debut in 1998, this marks the fourth overall release, following drops in 2010 and 2017.
Performance and comfort remain key to the model’s legacy. The Air Jordan 13 continues to stand out for its on-foot feel, while its design draws inspiration from Michael Jordan’s “Black Cat” persona. Signature elements like the holographic eye and paw-shaped outsole reinforce that storytelling.
As for availability, expectations remain uncertain. While some recent retros have seen wider distribution, the Air Jordan 13 typically releases in more limited quantities compared to other flagship models. That could make this drop more selective.
