If you were able to cut through the “Gamma” 11s noise last year, you might recall that Jordan Brand has nine releases lined up from Holiday 2025 into Spring 2026. Among them is the Japan-exclusive Air Jordan 11 “Tokyo,” now finally set to launch after months of anticipation.
The sneaker carries an understated palette of “Light Bone/Phantom/Sail/Light Bone,” anchored by a gradient leather mudguard, suede upper, and an intricately stitched goat graphic on the tongue. Underfoot sits a semi-translucent outsole featuring a “roadmap” of all six of Michael Jordan’s championship-winning years.

Beyond the obvious G.O.A.T. symbolism, an announcement by atmos sheds more light on the inspiration. Dubbed the “Sukajan,” the sneaker borrows its name and likeness from “souvenir jackets” made for American service members post-WWII, which featured traditional motifs like dragons and tigers stitched over satin. The style has since been co-opted by Japan’s youth, finding its way into the country’s burgeoning streetwear scene.
The Air Jordan 11 “Tokyo” drops exclusively in Japan in late February. Tokyo 23, a Jordan-exclusive retailer under the atmos umbrella, has announced an early launch on February 23rd. The main atmos website lists a February 25th release. The possibility of additional retailers and/or a Nike SNKRS launch remains in play.
