Devin Booker Shares Nike Book 2 “Texas Longhorns” PE

by thesneakerscroll@gmail.com

For the fourth consecutive year, the San Antonio Spurs are headed upstate to Austin for the team’s I-35 Series, taking over the city with a slate of activations and two games at the Moody Center, home of the Texas Longhorns. The first game tips off tonight between the Spurs and Devin Booker’s Phoenix Suns, and unsurprisingly, the NBA’s current PE king is planning to lace up something special.

Shown here via Book’s Instagram story is a Nike Book 2 “Texas Longhorns” PE, an homage to the school that’s produced names like P.J. Tucker, Myles Turner, and most famously Kevin Durant. The design largely mirrors the Nike Book 2 “Spiridon,” which of course draws its inspo from the Christian Tresser-designed runner of the same name. The “Spiridon” 2s have already served as a jumping off point for several previous Devin Booker PEs, including a “Black Tie” edition and a colorful “Phoenix Suns” do-up. The only apparent tweak here comes by way of the Swoosh logos, all rendered in Longhorns orange instead of red.

To reiterate, the Nike Book 2 “Texas Longhorns” is a PE and will not see a public release. Tap our Sneaker Release Dates page to browse upcoming basketball shoes you can actually get your hands on.
