The athlete-to-alcohol-brand founder pipeline is very real. LeBron James, Steph Curry, and Travis Kelce have all taken the plunge, as has Michael Jordan, perhaps unsurprising given MJ’s competitiveness and penchant for the finer things in life. The then-owner of the Charlotte Hornets teamed up with fellow NBA team owners Jeanie Buss, Wes Edens, Wyc Grousbeck, and Emilia Fazzalari to launch Cincoro Tequila in 2019, actualizing a business idea that stemmed from a dinner years prior. And as history has shown with Gatorade and more recently 23XI Racing, when the GOAT has a business tie-in, a sneaker tribute isn’t out of the question.
Here we have an ultra-rare set of Air Jordan 1 PEs supposedly created for Cincoro’s five founders. Official production numbers are unknown, but it’s speculated that only around ten pairs of the High exist and that the Low is allegedly a one-of-one. The sneakers are made to match Cincoro bottles themselves, each featuring premium black suede and patent leather with snowflake patterns in different areas. Gold hits appear throughout, including on the heel, tongue, and added lace tips and lace dubraes.
The Air Jordan 1 “Cincoro Tequila” collection never has and never will see a public release. The sellers of this set, @bear_town_sneaks and @davidsgrails, are open to hearing offers from serious buyers.
